This policy explains how BOARWAY BUILDERS LTD (“Boardwell”, “we”, “us”) collects and uses personal data when you browse boarbuil.shop, place an order for craft and organizing kits, join a membership, or contact us. We are the data controller for that data.

02What we collect and where it comes from
- Order & delivery data you provide at checkout: name, email, phone (optional), delivery address, city, postal code and country.
- Account & membership data: email, membership tier and subscription status.
- Support & enquiry data: the content of messages you send via our contact and wholesale/custom-order forms, including name, email, country and message.
- Payment confirmation data from our payment processor: whether a payment or subscription succeeded, and a payment reference. We do not receive or store your full card number.
- Technical data collected automatically: IP address, device/browser type and essential cookies needed to run the cart and secure the site.
Sources: directly from you (forms, checkout), and from our payment processor when a payment completes.
03Collection sources
We collect personal data from the following collection sources:
- Directly from you — when you fill in the checkout form, contact form or wholesale/custom-order form, create or manage a membership, or email us.
- Automatically from your device — technical data such as IP address and essential cookies as you browse the site.
- From our payment processor — payment and subscription confirmation data after you pay (never your full card number).
- From our delivery carriers — dispatch and delivery status updates for your order.
04Order and fulfilment data
Because we ship physical products, order fulfilment requires additional processing of the details you provide at checkout:
- Shipping address — your name, delivery/shipping address, city, postal code and country are used to pack, label and deliver your order, and are shared with the delivery carrier that fulfils your shipment.
- Order fulfilment records — order contents, order reference, dispatch and delivery status are kept so we can fulfil the order, provide tracking and handle any delivery issue.
- Returns & exchange support — where you request a return, refund or exchange, we process your order reference, contact details and reason so our support team can resolve it. See our Returns & Refunds and Shipping & Delivery policies.
- Billing data — our payment processor handles card and billing data to charge you; your card statement shows our descriptor. We receive only confirmation and a reference, not your full card number.
05Why we use it and legal bases
- To fulfil your order and deliver kits — performance of a contract.
- To manage memberships and recurring billing — performance of a contract.
- To respond to enquiries and provide support — legitimate interests / taking steps at your request.
- To retain checkout details you entered even if payment was not completed, so we can follow up on your order — legitimate interests; you may object at any time.
- To keep the site secure and prevent fraud — legitimate interests and legal obligation.
- To meet tax, accounting and consumer-law obligations — legal obligation.
07International transfers
Some processors are located outside the UK/EEA. Where data is transferred internationally, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as UK/EU Standard Contractual Clauses, the UK International Data Transfer Addendum, or an adequacy decision, so your data stays protected.
08How long we keep it
- Order and transaction records: kept as required for tax and accounting law.
- Enquiry, contact and re-marketing lead data: kept for up to 24 months, then deleted or anonymised.
- Membership data: kept for the life of the membership and a reasonable period afterwards.
09Your rights (UK GDPR, EU GDPR, CCPA)
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you;
- Correct inaccurate data;
- Delete your data (“right to be forgotten”);
- Restrict or object to certain processing, including direct-marketing follow-ups;

10Do Not Sell or Share
We do not sell your personal information and do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising. If this ever changes, we will provide a clear opt-out. California residents may still contact us to confirm our practices.
12Automated decisions and children
We do not make solely automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects. Our shop is for adults; the site is not directed to children under 13, and kits containing sharp tools, hot glue or small parts are for adult use or use under adult supervision.
